Code of Conduct and Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures

Each Student, on acceptance into a AHA association, should be supplied with an up to date copy of the Publications Folder, which contains the Code of Conduct and the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures. On the Application for Membership Form should be a declaration that they will abide by that Code.

The duty of the Guidance Tutor is to read through these documents with the Student and to discuss each paragraph to ensure that it is well understood and will be applied.

It is the duty of the tutor to ensure the Student understands that full conformance with the Code is mandatory at all times and in all respects as a condition of membership of their Association. Adhering to the Code is an essential requirement of the Public Liability/Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy.

It is essential that all students understand that this insurance cover is only for the practice of healing and does not cover, and may not be used for, any other discipline. This insurance is obtained for Association members through AHA.

The British Alliance of Healing Associations (BAHA) opposes all form of discrimination on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin, cultural or religious background, disability, gender, age or employment status. Code of Conduct page 15.

No dispensation to depart from any part of the Code can be given.
