My History of Barney Camfield
On my first meeting with Barney, I was still very much searching for the spiritual path that was right for me. Having had to endure a traumatic upbringing, I nevertheless had a gut feeling that there was more to life than work and sleep. It was this inner instinct that finally paved the way for me to contact a “medium”, since which time I have never looked back. It was the third of July 1986 which set me on the spiritual road/path.
At that time I was a complete nervous wreck. My daily meditation has proved to be the cornerstone of my spirituality. For five years, I was not aware of anything after meditating daily for thirty minutes. In hindsight, I prepared my body during that time to become aware of the Creator. In 1986, I suffered from severe asthma and thanks to my daily meditation and later healing from other people, my asthma is now ninety nine percent better.
My spiritual development and my improving health were in no small way due to meeting Barney Camfield. I am not certain as to when I first met Barney, and later Lorna Giles and Brenda McNicholls. Not only did he teach me to do spiritual Healing, but also meditation and psycho expansion.
Through Barney’s tutorship, I became a qualified Westcountry Healer in 1989. It must have been 1986/1987 when I met Barney. Nothing I can say or do can describe the lasting legacy Barney would have on me. It was a watershed in my life on meeting him.
I would advise anyone to read at least one of Barney’s publications; I can guarantee many a laugh on reading any of his books.
If one was in his presence, there was never a dull moment. His sense of humour was second to none. Whenever one spoke to him or vice versa, he had a knack of telling you anything in an almost light-hearted manner but at the same time explaining everything one wanted to know.
I will always be indebted to Barney, Lorna Giles and Brenda McNicholls for putting me on a sounder footing and in the process giving me more self esteem and slowly diminishing my inferiority complex.
